There are two numbers in weight loss telehealth. There is the one on the ad, and there is the one on your card in month five. For most of this category they are not the same number, and the gap between them is not an accident.
Here is what our four prices are, what sits inside them, and what moves them. Nothing on this page changes when your dose goes up.
The four prices
We run two programs, and each comes in two formats. That is four numbers, and these are all four.
GLP-1 + B12
Weekly injection. $99 your first month, then $199 a month. Available in all 50 states.
Dissolvable tablet. $119 a month, flat. Available in Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
GLP-1/GIP + B3
Weekly injection. $149 your first month, then $299 a month. Available in all 50 states.
Dissolvable tablet. $149 a month, flat. Same five states.
The tablet is the compounded medication on its own. The B12 and the B3 belong to the injection programs, which is why the tablets do not carry a vitamin in their name.
What the monthly price covers
One number, and it covers all of this:
- Your medication, every dose, at every strength, for as long as you are on the program
- Review and prescribing by a licensed physician
- Every dose adjustment, up or down
- Messaging the practice when something comes up
- Shipping, handled and tracked
What we do not charge for
- A membership or platform fee on top of the medication
- A higher monthly price when your dose goes up
- A consult fee to get started, or to come back
- Insurance paperwork, prior authorizations, or denials
- A cancellation fee
The dose is where the money usually hides
The standard structure in this category is a membership fee plus the medication, with the medication priced by dose. That reads fine on a pricing page. It reads differently six months in, because the dose you are on in month six is usually not the dose you started on, and the price moved with it.
Ours does not split and it does not move. $199 is $199 at every strength.
If you are comparing providers, that is the question worth asking all of them: what does this cost at my highest dose, not at my first one.
Injection or tablet, and what it does to the year
Where you live decides whether the tablet is even on the table. Injections are available in all 50 states, including New York. Tablets are available in Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Wyoming, and that is set by state law rather than by preference.
If you are in one of those five, the twelve-month math is worth a minute.
GLP-1 + B12 over twelve months
Injection: $99, then $199 for eleven months, which is $2,288.
Tablet: $119 for twelve months, which is $1,428.
The tablet costs $860 less across the year.
GLP-1/GIP + B3 over twelve months
Injection: $149, then $299 for eleven months, which is $3,438.
Tablet: $149 for twelve months, which is $1,788.
The tablet costs $1,650 less across the year.
The tablet looks like the more expensive choice in month one, because there is no first-month discount on it. Month one is also where most people stop comparing, which is how the cheaper option ends up reading as the pricier one.
Why we do not bill insurance
Because in this category insurance mostly says no, and the months you spend finding that out are months you are not being treated. Cash pay means one predictable number, no prior authorization, and no denial letter in March for something you started in January.
HSA and FSA
Both work. You can pay with an HSA or FSA card, and we will give you an itemized receipt if you want to submit it yourself.
What it costs to stop
Nothing. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. If a physician decides this therapy is not appropriate for you, you are not charged.
What the consult costs
Nothing, and no card is required to book it. Fifteen minutes, usually available the same week. A board-certified physician reads your intake and decides whether to prescribe, which program, which format, and at what starting dose. If treatment is not right for you, they will say so.
The straight answerThe short version
Pricing is the easiest thing for a company to be honest about, and one of the most common places to be slippery. Every number on this page is a number you would actually pay. If any of it is unclear, ask on the consult, before you have spent anything.
